We believe that image optimization should be fast, secure, and accessible to everyone. That's why we created ImgCompress.app - a free, browser-based image compression tool that processes your images locally without uploading them to any server.
The site is built with Next.js and TypeScript. Images are processed on your device: the browser's canvas and the browser-image-compression library handle JPG, PNG and WebP, a WebAssembly encoder writes AVIF, pdf.js renders PDF pages and pdf-lib builds PDFs. Compression and PDF rendering run in Web Workers, so the page stays responsive while a batch is working.
Your images are processed entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or have access to your images.
