Ways to get in touch
What to include in a bug report
Most problems depend on the browser and the file, so a few details save a lot of back and forth:
- Your browser and its version, for example Safari on an iPhone or Chrome on Windows. The version number is on the browser's About page.
- The page you were on, ideally copied from the address bar.
- The file type and size, and the image dimensions in pixels if you know them.
- What you did, step by step, including any settings you changed.
- What you expected and what happened instead, with the exact wording of any error message.
When you'll hear back
I read every message myself and usually reply within a few days. It can take longer when a fix needs testing across browsers. There is no ticket system or phone line.
Please don't send private images
The tools never upload your files, but email works differently: an attachment is stored by your email provider and by mine. If a bug only happens with one particular file, send it only if nothing in it is private, or blur or crop the sensitive parts first and check that the problem still happens. A screenshot of the error is often enough. I use messages only to reply and fix the problem; the privacy policy has the details.
