A PNG is made of pixels, so it blurs when you scale it up. Tracing it to SVG produces a vector you can resize to any size without losing sharpness — ideal for logos, icons and flat illustrations. (It traces shapes and colours, so it works best on clean graphics, not detailed photos.)

Frequently asked questions

Will my photo convert into a clean SVG?
Tracing suits logos, icons and flat artwork. Photographs get posterised into colour blobs, which is rarely what you want — for photos a PNG or JPG is the better format.
Why does the SVG look simplified?
Vector tracing approximates the image with shapes and a limited palette. Simple, high-contrast graphics trace cleanly; busy or noisy images come out rougher.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The whole conversion runs in your browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never sent anywhere.
